Tour’s Program

Day 1, Saturday: Arrival in Athens
Transfer from the airport to your hotel.

Day 2, Sunday: Athens
½ day city tour of Athens: Take a short drive to Athens, the cradle of the European civilization. Walk uphill to visit the Acropolis and see the principal buildings: the Propylaia, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the magnificent Parthenon. Continue on and walk through a nice pedestrian road situated on the slopes of the Acropolis hill and reach the New Acropolis Museum (closed on Mondays). Re-embark your coach and drive through the main sightseeing highlights of Athens: you will view the Olympieion (the Temple of Olympian Zeus) from the 6th Century BC and Hadrian’s Arch (2nd Century AD). Arriving at Syntagma Square, see the the present day Parliament. In front of the Palace stands the Monument of the Unknown Soldier where two soldiers (Evzoni) stand guard continuously. Drive further along and pass the neoclassical buildings of the University, Academy and Library before arriving at the Stadium laid out under Lycurgus in the 4th Century BC and rebuilt in 1896 on its original plan for the modern Olympic Games. Day 3, Monday: Athens – Olympia
Depart by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. MEALS BD

Day 4, Tuesday: Olympia – Delphi
In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi. MEALS BD
Day 5, Wednesday: Delphi – Kalambaka
In the morning visit Delphi’s Archaeological Site and the Museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town stated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. MEALS BD

Day 6, Thursday: Kalambaka – Athens
Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida's Monument). Arrive in Athens early in the evening. MEALS B

Day 7, Friday: Athens - Mykonos
Transfer to the port for your embarkation. Departure from Athens at 1:00pm. Arrive in Mykonos at 6:00pm. Mykonos is a delightful island renowned for its lovely countryside and its beaches, its iconic windmills and sea breezes. Departure at 11:00pm.MEALS BD

Day 8, Saturday: Kusadasi - Patmos
Arrival in Kusadasi at 7:00am. The area has been a center of art and culture since some of the earliest recorded history, and has been settled by many civilizations since being founded in 3000 BC. Kusadasi is currently one of the finest is resort town on the Aegean coast. Depart to Patmos 1:00pm and arrive at 4:00pm. Many believe John the Apostle wrote the Book of Revelations in a mountainside grotto where he heard the voice of God. Further up the mountain, within the white walls of Hora, the monastery founded in his honor in 1088 stands sentinel above this verdant island. Departure at 9:00pm MEALS BLD

Day 9, Sunday: Crete - Santorini
Arrive in Crete at 7:00am. Heraklion is an ancient Venetian port and the fascinating capital of Crete. Greece’s largest island is a paradise of secluded beaches, hiking trails, rivers and archaeological marvels. Departure to Santorini at 11:30am, arriving at 4:30pm. Its incredible cliffs rise from the blue waters of the Aegean toward the azure sky. Wander around this beautiful island ot take a mini cruise to Santorini’s smaller islands and volcanoes. Explore the Akrotiri Village excavations, wander about the beautiful hilltop village of Fira, the island’s unique capital, or just relax in a café in stunning Oia Village, and watch the sunset from 300 meters above the sparkling sea. Departure at 9:30pm. MEALS BLD

Day 10, Monday: Athens
Arrive in Athens at 6:30am.
